Finals will be played on Sunday January 22nd

**Additional Information

Nova Scotia has plenty of good quality men’s and women’s volleyball players and teams. This tournament has long term goals to be as large as the Moncton Open (78 teams last year) and be considered a premier senior volleyball tournament in the Maritimes.

The Canada Games Center is the state of the art facility in eastern Canada. If you have not played there you are in for a treat. There are 5 full volleyball courts with full serving room and a 10m ceiling.

We are working with the Nova Scotia Volleyball Officials Association and each match will be refereed by certified NS officials.

There will be a social Saturday night. Currently the plan is for it to be held at the Frigate. (Bar underneath Pogue Fado)

Hello everyone,

The last tournament of 2011 is this Saturday. As per, Competitive is at Stad, while Super Rec A makes their return to Auburn and B plays at Halifax West. Check the Registrations page for more.

Please be reminded that the tournament will be starting at 9am sharp! So be there and be ready to play, and I’ll be the first to wish you a Merry Christmas!

The KCA Athletic Department is in need of some funds so I’m planning a women’s charity tournament to help out. The school is new so we’ve got some fabulous new equipment to use!

Cost for the tournament is $100 per team and I’m taking 10 teams.

Sunday, following the tournament, the spares list will be purged. If you want your name on the spares list, please come back early next week to re-register. This will become an annual occurrence, just wanted to make everyone aware sooner than later.

The second tournament of the year is already upon us, happening this Saturday. Competitive will be at Stad, Super Rec A will be at Auburn, and Super Rec B will be a Sackville High at 9am sharp. Competitive teams, please email Sophie (spitrear [at] dal [dot] ca)z with your team lists and have picture IDs when you arrive at the gym on Saturday morning.

Note that this tournament will be returning to the normal format, where Competitive will play superstar format, while Super Rec A and B will be playing Co-ed format.

Rules can be found here, on the Rules page. We encourage all of our players to read and know the rules that will be used in the tournaments.

Hey everyone! Teams for the September 2011 tournament have been posted! This year’s first tournament will be Superstar format ONLY (read about it here under “Rules Specific to Superstar Format”) in hopes of peaking interest in that format. Subsequent tournaments will not be in this format for Super Rec A and B. We have only 14 teams in this tournament. Super Rec teams will only play Super Rec teams, so don’t worry about facing competition that is “out of your league”.

If you want to be registered for future tournaments, PLEASE get your cheques in to the registrar. No cheques, no play. Sorry.

Captains. Please get the list of players on your team to Sophie (spitrear at dal.ca) and make sure all of your players bring PHOTO ID to Stad the morning of the tournament.

The year’s first tournament will be this Saturday, September 17th at Stad. Please note that we only have 1 gym for the September tournament, so registrations will be limited. Please get your cheques into the registrar (Sarah McGuire) who’s information can be found on the contact page.
