Hello everybody,

Gym locations for the December tournaments have been posted. Please check the “Next Tournament” section on the sidebar or check the registrations page.

Tournaments start at 9, but that means the games start at 9. If you want to warm up, be there at 8:45 am.

Girls 14 Under Tryouts  (those born 1996 or later)
Sunday Nov 29
Location: Citadel High School
Time:  5:30 pm-7:30.  Players should arrive early to sign up and be registered.  There will be someone available at 5:10 to coordinate.  Enter through the Community entrance at the North end of the building. Note: Leeway will be given to those not able to be at this first tryout, due to the short notice, but everyone is encouraged to attend if possible.

Location:  Tallahasee Recreation Centre (Eastern Passage)
Time: 8:30 am – 10:30 am

Date: Monday Dec 8.
Location  St Andrews Centre on Bayers Road
Time : 7:30 pm – 9:00 pm

Girls 16 Under tryouts (born 1994 or later)

Sun Dec 7th   – 6:00pm – 8:00pm at Tallahassee
Mon Dec 8th   – 5:30pm – 7:30pm at Citadel High
Tues Dec 9th   – 7:30pm – 9:30pm at Tallahassee

Girls 18 Under tryouts (born 1992 or later)

Sun Dec 7th   – 10:30pm – 12:30pm at Tallahassee
Mon Dec 8th   – 7:30pm – 9:30pm at Citadel High
Tues Dec 9th   – 7:30pm – 9:30pm at Tallahassee

Note that you did not have to attend the ID camp held earlier on to attend tryouts.
Tryout costs will be $20.00 total, with a $10 deduction if you attended the recent ID camp.
Further information and tryout times for other age groups, please check with the club web-site (still being finalized, so please check back often).

Updated December 2nd

Teams wishing to withdraw from tournaments will please to do so by Tuesday prior to the tournament by 5pm. Sending an email to any member of the executive is the best way to do so. Teams wishing to drop out after Thursday night will still have their cheques cashed as a penalty.

This ensures the best organization for when the tournaments begin on Saturday morning.

This policy will be enforced starting with the first tournament in 2010.

The next tournament is this weekend! After which there will be a party for all the CVNS’ers at the Argyle, with the court reps starting to show up at 9pm.

The gym locations are as follows:

Please remember to clean up after yourselves, as we are not savages, and don’t be afraid to show up a bit early to help set up, or stay a bit late, to help take down nets and poles.

Note to Competitve players: If you have any new team members playing for you this tournament, please send their names, along with the team they will be playing for to Sophie (Sophie [dot] Pitre-Arseneault [at] dfo-mpo [dot] gc [dot] ca). Do not forget to bring photo ID, as it is required to enter the Stad facilities. Also, because of the new expanded team format, we will be starting promptly at 9am. Doors will be opened at 8:45, so please be on time.

Women’s tournament in support of NKEC girl’s volleyball team, Saturday Nov 14th. Registration cost $100 per team.

Tournament is being held in the Valley, at North East Kings Education Centre, 1816 Bains Road, Canning, NS (click here for map).
